REVIEW: Twilight

Latest movie that has been Netflix'd was a BuDaChick pick.  Twilight.  Yeesh.  I'm a fan of Harry Potter, so I had an open mind.  I'm into Science-Fantasy, so I said, why the hell not.

I tried.  But this movie sucked.  The acting was terrible, and the plot was non-existent.  Actually, there was a plot - just not enough to fill the 2 hour and 2 minute run time.  For those that don't know, I'm about to spoiler the whole retarded movie for you right here.

Girl (Kristen Stewart) moves to some place in Oregon.  Dude (Robert Pattinson) goes to school there.  Dude doesn't show up when it's sunny out (Girl moved to the rainiest place in the continental US).  Dude turns out to be a Vampire, but instead of dying in the sunlight just gets shiny.  Stupid.  Dude is from a faction of good Vampires, then a faction of bad Vampires want to kill the Girl.  Blah blah blah, Dude saves the day and gets the Girl.  Oh yeah, P.S., Dude can read minds, but can't read the Girl's mind - he becomes quite obsessed with her and won't turn her to a Vampire because he fears he might eat her.  Weird AND stupid.

The acting was bad, as were the special effects.  There was this terrible scene where the Dude (Edward) and the Girl (Bella) were jumping through the Oregon trees together.  Just turrible.  I not only have no desire to read the books, I'm dreading the fact that BuDaChick didn't hate it enough to not want to rent the 2nd movie. Double yeesh.  Upcoming review, Twilight: New Moon, unfortunately.
