September comes and BOOM! - Fantasy Football, and real-life Football. I just don't have time to worry about trends and matchups and worrying out the 40 man roster - let me re-phrase, I have the time, but I'm lazy and I'd rather spend it on other things that don't need my attention.
To me, what marks the end of a Fantasy Baseball season is the passing of the Trade Deadline. I couldn't really care less if I don't have the option to propose an absurd trade to my league mates, and feverishly await their rejection of said trade. Nothing is more exhilarating - other than the draft. So now we are in September, rookies have been called up, studs are phoning it in worse than Week 17 in the NFL, and we get to (maybe) think about keepers.
I just can't do it - I had my playoffs in a H2H league a week or two ago, I barely did anything, while earlier in the year I changed lineups daily, analyzed potential pickups, and made notes of what to do and when to do it. I'm just a little bored is all - and it happens every year. Perhaps things would be more interesting if at the 3/4 mark of the season we performed a Michael Scott-esque Yankee swap of the teams. Or maybe we can introduce a different kind of mini game - Jewish-only draft! I'm so ready for the Baseball season to end - let's get to the post-season, and get this Football season under way!
WHOA WHOA ARE YOU ADMITTING THAT IT IS TOO LONG??? I am printing this out and keeping it forever
