That's right. He did it. He won his 800th career win. I'm surprised they were able to make the signs quickly enough, as this was a win no one expected Syracuse to emerge with.
Although heavily favored, the University of Albany Great Danes fell to The [Always PC] Orange in "The Dome". "The 'Cuse" took an early lead, but then, with 14:08 remaining the first half it looked as though the Great Danes had the Orange cooked - the score was 7 to 9 in favor of the Orange. The positive mojo was short lived unfortunately for the Great Danes (and unluckily) it never stayed that close.
Unbelievably the Orange almost surrendered a 33 point lead (not really), but ended up holding out to win by that amount anyway. Close game. Whew! Just when you thought he wouldn't get his 800th, he did. Great. Just great. Hey, I think I know that cheerleader (on the left, with the "S", the one on the right I'm sure I trained my brain to forget...) from Chuck's, HoLLa.
In other College Basketball related news, the #4 University of North Carolina Tar Heels spoiled Isaiah Thomas's debut as head coach of the Florida International Golden Panthers. How dare they! Where do they get off, honestly?! Goes to show you that although 1 is better than 4 when used for rankings, unranked (which I thought to mean 0) is apparently not better than 4. Is 2 not better than 3, does it switch odds and evens? Also, don't use the teams mascots as a way of determining the possible victor. I would totally take a Golden Shower, er, Panther over a Tar Heel any day of the week! What is a Tar Heel anyway? Hmm, interesting. What's a Golden Panther? Yeah, badass, just like I thought they'd be. Man, now I'm all confused and stuff - how am I to be able to pick and root for winners if the numbers all trickery and the mascots don't accurately represent the teams abilities to succeed? If a Golden Panther was chasing down a North Carolin-ian with tar on his heels I would reckon that man wouldn't get very far before that Golden Panther got him a meal...
