I Just Don't Get It

I don't.

Affordable health care for everyone - that something I want to buy into.  Or take advantage of.  Either-or.

Not all Democrats are for this health care bill, and not all Republicans are against it.  This is getting confusing.  How am I supposed to know which pole to gravitate towards if the politcal bodies are not aligned with themselves.

I'm not so sure I'm a fan of this "bi-partisan-ship-ness govermenting" that I'm hearing is all the rave...

B'Obama's Health Care Plan that he wanted to go into effect has now become a bill, but it isn't yet a law.  I'm 90% certain that by the time this (or any law) goes into effect, it's already outdated.

There is just no way you can tell me that a process that is this slow is going to actually help anybody in the timely fashion that they need help.  That is a criticism of ALL govermental bills, and laws, and dewey decimals across the board - not just health care.

Do I think a government run health care system will be a good thing?  Yes and no.  I think that I hate the privatized insurance companies so much that I'm just about ready to start getting insured by my local shaman and witch doctor.  So yeah, a goverment option sounds great to that effect.  I think the private insurance companies worked better when they were non-profit organizations, and the whole profit aspect really ended up screwing over the doctors, and in turn the average American's health care.

Go to the doctor for a throat problem?  NO PROBLEM!  At that same appointment tell that doctor that you knee is bothering you?  Go fuck yourself and make another appointment.  Unfortunately the bullshit that we have to deal with on a daily basis at the doctor's office is a byproduct of the bullshit that the doctors have to deal with from the insurance companies.  My biggest problem is that I'm putting down all this money a month to have "health insurance", and I get statements that show my insurance is only covering a portion of what I needed for a god dammed check up.  What the fuck am I paying for?

I don't know if the goverment option will be better, but the key point to me is that it is an option.  You have a handful of private companies with a monopoly over the insurance industry and we have to sit back and take it - or wait until we are old enough to qualify for Medicare.  Unfortunately, by the time I'm that old, both Social Security and Medicare will have been exhausted on funding oil wars.  Zing!

The goverment option poses a problem, in my opinion, which is similar to the paradox of welfare.  Welfare supports American's who cannot support themselves and their families.  Great message.  That's something I can buy into.  Unfortunately that's some that most American's not only buy into, they subscribe for life, never having the desire to get out of it.

It's not that I want people to hungry, I just don't care about people in general, and when they fuck with the cash that's coming out of my pocket I say, "You can go fuck yourselves and go hungry".

I'm not a big fan of the "getting money for free" deal a lot of people have going.  I'm a hater.  I don't get money for free, no one else should.  Because they do, I don't like it.  It's simple.  I'm hater.  I'm the president and I'm also a client of the "Me First" Club.  You know what?  I'm pretty sure most of Americans are part of their own "Me First" Club so I don't feel that bad about it...

My feelings on welfare and free healthcare (for those who can't buy into it) are simple.  This country was built out of hard work, as were most of American's lives.  They had to work hard for them.  You want money, you will be working/volunteering for it.  The goverment should be able to set you up with a job that mops floors, or whatever.  People need to work their way out of the poor house, not building foundations to make that poor house more stable.  The poor house is one of the most stable institutions this nation has!  Instead of spending 14 hours a day standing outside the mini-mart asking for change and clearing $0.85, why don't you respond to the JOB WANTED sign on the door and mop the fucking floors.

So if at some point the health care system has been reformed thanks to this bill, great.  Awesome even!  What I am concerned about right now are the people who will take advantage of this new system (potentially), and second, I'm concerned about how I can get in on it.  If I can't get in on the scam, I don't want it.  Plain and simple.  If I can pay a little less for some form of health coverage comparable to what I have now, sweet.  Let's do that.

What bothers me and freaks me out is how much money our country is going to have to spend to have this be effective.  To that I say, "FUCK YOU SWEDEN!  You're never getting your money back, ever!  What?  What are you going to do about it?"  And to China, "We might just have to stop outsourcing work your way, and if you let this slide, we might help you with your whole environmental-crisis deal you've got going on over there..."

In closing, I will support anything that helps me do something I want to do.  I want cheaper health care - BAM - got my support.  I want to get money back from the goverment - BAM - got my support.  Whatever it is, I don't care.  If it helps me, I like it.  If it helps me and hurts a lot of other people, I will find some way to legitimize it.  Less taxes for me, more taxes for the rich - awesome, I don't have money so that won't hurt me, and the percentage of "rich" people out there screwing over other people deserve to get the shaft once in a while - BAM - done, an argument I can support!  I don't support things that don't help me.  Simple.  Self-Centered.  Uncaring.  Unconstructive.  Awesome.

Personally, in this day and age I don't think we can call America "The Greatest Country in the World" when we can't afford to keep our own citizens healthy and secure.  The amount of unemployed is staggering, and if you aren't unemployed, you're missing out.  Unemployment benefits are for over a year now.  HoLLa!  Modern day insurance companies are an evil byproduct of capitalism, among many examples, and I think it's about damn time we tell these bastards where to shove it.  I can't afford to pay for my own health care, and I sure as hell can't go anywhere else for coverage - so until something else is done my sphincter will be black and blue from all the Blue Cross and Shield and Swiss Chip pounding...
