Before I go into my findings of where Lark has been, first I want to break down why I think she is under appreciated as far as hotness goes on the show. The uber-dork Screech Powers obsessed over Lisa Turtle, the Zack Attack had Kelly, and A.C. had Jessie, so they couldn't really explore her hotness. She was more or less relegated to being the dorks interest, and in turn was subject to having a level of dorkiness associated with her. How hot could she get if she was never allowed to do anything sexual-like unless it was with Screech?!
Seriously, Lisa Turtle is at her hottest in Episode 10 of Season 4 - Drinking and Driving. Truly a fantastic display at Lark Voorhies hotness. They're all in a toga and then running around the cover up a Zack crash of Lisa's mom's Mercedes. Where was Mr. Turtle? I think Mr. Morris was getting down on the Mrs./Dr. Turtle. Love those toga's.
So where is she now? As I did with Jaleel White, I was interested in what Google lists for me when typing in her name. "Lark Voorhies Plastic Surgery" is the 2nd most searched for information, other than a straight search for Lark Voorhies herself. Where does this take us? Let's take it to the blogs!
"She Looks Like a Cat" - Not good. More of the same. Still the same. There is more news of Saved by the Bell lately because of Jimmy Fallon's petition for a reunion, and the only image I've seen of Lark looking freaky is that one image in each of the links I've provided in this paragraph. Well, this is from the same event it looks like.
Interestingly enough, she was once engaged to Mr. Blue Streak himself, Martin Lawrence. She was also with Mark-Paul Gosselaar from '89 through '92 while they were filming SBTB. (If 4 seasons and 4 years doesn't sound like as much as you remember, just remember that Saved by the Bell in syndication also includes episodes of Good Morning, Miss Bliss which had almost the same cast but revolved around the teach Miss Bliss played by Hayley Mills) [The original Saved by the Bell episode which was actually Good Morning, Miss Bliss did not have the cast as you know it today, and the Pilot actually included Brian-Austin Green, Jonathan Brandis, and GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, JALEEL WHITE!]
Well, Lark hasn't really done all that much I suppose, except get married, get divorced, get married again, have a kid, and have some awkward facial surgery. Let's hope she was just still swollen or something.
More than likely, the next and last time you'll see Lark is on the Saved by the Bell Reunion, and in all likelihood, much less hot. ::Sigh::, sad face... I will leave you with the hottest Lark picture I can find. So long sweet Lark. I still can't believed you even gave Dustin Diamond the time of day...
