WinterStormWatch 2009

I the area that I live in, things get a little nutty when they predict snow.  Between one and two inches will shut down the all the roads for hours, and the Noreaster you've been hearing about the past week, and over the weekend, has been predicting up to 24 inches.

If I owned a super market I would want there to be snow storms like this everyday.  Take a look at the picture on the right.  This is a few hours before the snow was supposed to hit and was taken at my local Stop & Shop.  It's nuts.  Every single aisle was open, and every single aisle had 3 or 4 people flowing out the back of the actual aisle itself.

We actually received about 5 or 6 inches.

Things shut down, and people go a little crazy, and Mexicans flood the streets looking for money to shovel driveways.  It's an interesting time, and only a few rules apply.

Always be prepared (or is that the Boy Scouts).  That's what causes the masses to flood the super markets for all sorts of food they'd never need, and for salt to spread on the walking paths.

Second rule - never eat the yellow snow.  Enjoy the winter.
