Baseball Nation

According to an ESPN "SPORTSNATION" Poll from about mid-day on Tuesday October 20, 2009, 52% of the nation believed the Angels would win Game 4.  The states that were predominantly voting for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim were on the West Coast on the United States of America, and then connecting through the northern half of the "Mid-West" and Mountain region states.  As the states came to the New York and Pennsylvania border, the states began predominately selecting the New York Yankees to win, but beyond New York State to the east (New England) each state voted in favor of the Angels.

FYI - the New York Yankees won 10-1; CC Sabathia pitched 8 innings (and the home run to Morales can't be considered a mistake, that was an amazing swing of the bat - perfect location and speed, Morales just got it), and ARod has continued his success this post season.

On a side note, the SportsNation Poll had only two options, the Angels and the Yankees.  Oddly enough, states that had voted in favor of the Angels were varying shades of blue (depending upon the percentage voting for the teams) and the Yankees states were varying shades of red.  Seems counter intuitive, doesn't it? Wouldn't it be more logical to have the Yankees states be blue, and the Angels states be red?  Honestly, the SportsNation Poll does this all the time, and it's stupid.  It's probably because whichever choice is the first choice gets a blue graph bar (and blue states) and the second choice gets a red, and if a third and fourth are necessary they throw in yellow and green.  The point is, some monkey thought that question up, some monkey put it on the home page, that same freaking monkey could take the time to figure out which colors will associate with which answer.  Yankees are in red, and Angels are in blue - give me a break!
