New York Football Jets - Quick Notes

The game isn't over yet, but I have two notes:

1. Leon Washington definitely snapped his leg.  It was gross.  The only information back is that he won't return for this game.  I know what a broken bone looks like, and that was it.  Crack reporting at ESPN.com has the following to report:

OAKLAND, Calif. -- New York Jets running back Leon Washington left Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders in the first quarter with an apparent leg injury.
Washington went down on his first carry when a defender rolled up on his right leg. He was helped off the field by two trainers and then taken away on a cart.
There was no immediate word on the extent of the injury.

2.  Tom Cable really is a moron.  During a Jets scoring drive the Raiders on 3rd down are called for defensive holding.  This play occurred with approximately 6:15 to go in the 2nd Quarter.  After they gift the Jets 1st down, Tom Cable throws the challenge flag.  Even King of the Moron's Dan Dierdorf was perplexed by this particular call.  After about a minute the referee's give Cable his flag back and say that because the hold occurred prior the tipped pass it wasn't able to be challenged - you'd think a Head Coach in the NFL would be privy to that knowledge PRIOR to throwing the flag.  Watch out - he'll break your jaw.

3.  JaMarcus Russell benched after the drive where Tom Cable threw the challenge flag when a play couldn't be challenged.  I've said it before and I'll say it again - JaMarcus Russell sucks.  He's stupid, and so is his mother for giving such a stupid name for life.  That said I don't think Bruce Gradkowski remains the starter for long, and I would be surprised if Gradkowski starts next week.  Does Russell deserve to be a Pro-Football Quarterback?  Maybe in Canada, but the R-R-Raid-ah's are an organization of a bunch of moron's.  Even the king of them, Dan Dierdorf, says so...

And finally...

4.  The Jets looks good, nay, they look great - let's just remember that this is the Raiders.  They're terrible.
