Week 6 Wrap-Up

A few notes about Week 6 that I haven't covered yet (basically everybody in the league that isn't a New York Football team...)

Let's get right to it skanks...

Texans-Bengals
BuDa Pick'Em said Texans with points and straight up, count that shit mo'fo's.  The Texans are good, and I believe the Bengals are the real deal as a force in the AFC North.

Lions-Packers
With Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford inactive (going into the Bye), the spread probably should have been 16...

Ravens-Vikings
I stopped paying attention to football about halfway through the 3 quarter of play for the 1 o'clock games, so I have no idea how the Ravens came back.  The Ravens ARE good, but they were down 17 with 10:00 left in the 4th quarter - maybe the Vikes tired down the stretch of this game.  Keep an eye on this as this undefeated goes through the season...

Browns-Steelers
Honestly don't know how the Browns scored two TDs on the Steel-Curtain...

Buccaneers-Panthers
I picked the Bucs to upset, but the only way this win occurs is with D'Angelo Williams and Daily Show going off.  (Psst, that's what happened...)

Chiefs-Redskins
Let's see what the BuDaMan said about this matchup:

Chiefs (+6.5) OVER Redskins; Chiefs (+0) OVER Redskins
I can't believe the Chiefs lost to the Cowboys. I love how bad the Cowboys are. The Chiefs aren't bad. The Chiefs are unfortunate. Larry Johnson is bad (will he make my DONE column?!), Dwayne Bowe is a beast, Matt Cassel - I don't see any knee problems. Count it.

Yeah, that's right.  I think Jim Zorn is getting a bad rap.  I think he doesn't have the personnel that he wants there.  He definitely hates Jason Campbell, but management seems to like him.  In the end, Zorn does call the plays, so maybe a change (more than just signal-calling) needs to occur - I just think it's player execution more than coaching that's the problem, and I'm going on record as saying such...

Rams-Jaguars
I took the Rams and 10 points, and said Jags straight up.  Bam.  I still think the following is true, regardless of this past weeks play:  David Garrard just isn't that good and MJD isn't the primary back that can be effective each and every game.

Giants-Saints
See my article regarding the Giants...but ignore the comments from the skankiest skank to ever hit the BuDa-BLoG...

Cardinals-Seahawks
After getting everyones attention last week, the 'Hawks put up a pathetic performance against a slightly above mediocre division rival - maybe they're not better than that...

Eagles-Raiders
The Eagles couldn't cover a 14 point spread on a bad Raiders team.  This is the kind of game that revitalizes one teams program, and destroys the morale (and in turn, the season) for another.  The only thing that relates to this is the year 2002, Eastchester, NY.  Tuckahoe High School Homecoming Game - Tuckahoe goes in completely defeated against an undefeated rival Bronxville High School.  The Tuckahoe win (led by their lightning quick senior running back) would turn the year around for the Tigers, while the Broncos managed only one win afterwards.  Broncos on the 2002 team would tell the captain running back for years to come that it was that day that ruined their year.  Yes.

Titans-Patriots
I picked the Titans simply because they need a win - maybe they're actually bad... on the other side of the field you have a Patriots team whose aerial attack found it's 2007-like groove in a snow storm.  Personally, I'm terrified.  Is this legit?  Absolutely.

Bills-Jets
See my article regarding the Jets...

Falcons-Bears
BuDaMan picked the Falcons both ways, count that biotch.  Turner will get going, and Roddy White is getting more targets.  Cutler has too much riding on his shoulders, and Matt Forte looked utterly ineffective and was FUMBLING!  Monitor that...

Broncos-Chargers
Guess what, BuDaMan did it again!  Broncos are 6-0 and deservedly so.  Their defense and special teams really impressed me tonight, but we'll see if they can manufacture more points like that again.  Take away those special teams points and (obviously the whole game changes, but,) they don't win the game.  Actually, if you take away Eddie Royal's special team returns, you have to take away Darren Sproles too, so they still win... I think they're legit regardless, but I think this team is at its best when Brandon Marshall gets the most receptions.  He had 5 tonight, but the Broncos are at their best when he is at about 8 or so.  On the flip side, Orton utilized Scheffler more, and the Moreno-Buckhalter tandem can't hurt.  More established weapons make defenses look all over the field for the targets.  I like where this is going.  I also like seeing Phil Rivers lose...
